Abstract

The current investigation focus predominantly around the buckling behavior of punctured plates exposed to mechanical load. Buckling behavior analyzed experimentally and numerically. Numerical analysis researched utilizing finite element technique for uniaxial compression load. This work studies the variables of the cutout like shape, size, position, and radii adjusting which are changed to consider their consequences for the buckling characteristics. Finite element technique was utilized to formulate the theoretical model. Results are compared with those obtained from researches, where good agreement is gotten. The principle results showed that embedding cutouts to the plates reducing the critical buckling load.
